Bynder expands leadership team to accelerate growth and innovation

Amsterdam, 26 September 2023 - Following its 2022 acquisition - the largest of an independent DAM vendor in history by private equity firm THL, Bynder has announced a trio of senior promotions and a new executive hire, expanding the company’s leadership team to help accelerate growth, further improve the customer experience and set the foundation for even further innovation.

Heidi Lasker has been promoted to Chief Customer Officer. Heidi has more than 20 years’ experience in leading customer-facing teams at technology companies, and in her six years at Bynder has been instrumental in helping to build a world-class customer-focused culture within the organization. Her expertise has resulted in sustained levels of growth in net customer retention and enabled six successive quarters of record ARR expansion. This success is reinforced by customer reviews platform, G2, which consistently ranks Bynder as a leader. Heidi has recruited and developed some of the best talent in the industry, which constitutes the world’s most extensive pool of DAM expertise, to support Bynder’s iconic customer base. In her new role, she will bring all global customer success teams together, ensuring existing and new customers benefit from a global knowledge-base, while helping to drive more value and ROI from their DAM investments.

Peter-Paul Houtman has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. He has more than 15 years’ experience in technology and has held executive leadership roles at high-profile companies including Parkmobile and SDL, where he was responsible for scaling and leading large technology organizations to deliver high-volume business critical products and services. Since joining Bynder in 2022, Peter-Paul has been instrumental in leading and developing Bynder’s R&D team to maintain the company’s position as the leading best-of-breed DAM platform. He will now be responsible for the delivery of the product and technology roadmap, with a focus on extending our AI capabilities. With more brands embracing AI technology within their content operations, Peter-Paul will ensure that customer needs are at the forefront of all future product developments and will implement the technology roadmap to support these new features.

Mike Mansell has been promoted to Chief Architect Officer. With nearly 30 years’ tech industry experience, Mike's deep technical expertise both in and outside of the DAM category has been essential in developing cutting edge solutions at Bynder to help customers meet their business goals. Mike has previously held CTA and CTO roles at a number of B2B tech companies and has a proven track record of founding and growing technology companies to the point of IPO or acquisition. In his new role, Mike will utilize his experience of architecting large scale data systems with automated data intelligence to focus on solving customer challenges for today and the future. In addition, Mike will oversee development and delivery of a strong technology roadmap to help empower Bynder customers to conquer the complexity of proliferating content through advanced technology solutions.

In addition to these promotions, Tim O'Neil has joined Bynder’s executive team as Chief Revenue Officer. Tim joins from data intelligence solution, Alation, and has extensive software sales experience, including a decade of building and leading sales teams at hyper-growth companies. Tim features in Pavilion's ‘40 CROs to watch' list, which recognizes top C-suite talent in the modern SaaS space. Tim will set out a new foundation for scale and growth, enabling global sales teams to meet Bynder’s ambitious goals.

Tim O’Neil said: “I’m really excited to be working with such an experienced group of professionals that have built one of the largest DAM companies globally. Bynder is clearly outperforming the market with its recent successes and I’m looking forward to being part of the team and delivering its next phase of growth.
