Last year, we collected 250+ product innovation ideas after we conducted 300+ customer interviews and analyzed 10,000+ customer insights.

We’ve greatly increased our focus on the practical application and potential business outcomes of anything new that we build at Bynder.

Internally, it’s what we call the ‘Return On Expectations.’ In other words, customers want to know that the promises made by an AI-powered DAM are achievable realities, not just ambitious dreams.

In that spirit, we know that being able to locate and manage digital assets more quickly and effortlessly has become increasingly important to our users. And that’s exactly why it’s been a key focus for Bynder recently, in terms of examining how AI can be leveraged to make content management easier for our customers.

Three ways that Bynder AI is boosting the content management process for customers

1. Natural Language Search (NLS)

Traditionally, a search function within a platform that stores files relied on metadata, which was often manually entered into the system. The problem with that approach is that the effectiveness of the search is only as good as the metadata that asset has against it.

Natural Language Search uses advanced Natural Language Processing technology (NLP) to interpret conversational, everyday language and return contextually relevant results based on the objects in the image.

This provides a much more intuitive way of searching for content compared to using keywords and relying solely on metadata.

NLS is currently fully optimized for queries in the English language, but also supports simple queries in many other languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, and Catalan.

2. Duplicate Manager

Duplicate Manager is a key capability that helps Bynder DAM users keep their asset library well-organized by identifying, checking, and eliminating duplicate files quickly and easily; meaning that only the most recent, most relevant files remain in use.

This reduces asset storage inefficiencies and helps teams maintain a clutter-free, well-organized DAM, which in turn improves overall levels of asset discoverability and content integrity.

3. Facial recognition

This capability allows users to initiate real-time tagging of people across endless numbers of image assets at the point of upload — all they need to do is link a person to a face in one initial image first.
